RTS Awards North West Awards


The Royal Television Society North West awards celebrated its 20th anniversary on Saturday 12 November, 2016.

The television industry and the nation were remembering both Caroline Aherne and Victoria Wood.

I was sent to interview the celebrities on the red carpet and caught up with an array of Coronation Street stars, including Les Dennis, Jane Danson, Tina O’Brien, Jack P. Shepherd and Connor MacIntyre.

Key103 Christmas Live 2015

It’s that time of year again…..Key103 Christmas Live returned to the Manchester Arena on December 11.

The Christmas concert featured some of the top stars in the music industry, including  James Morrison, Little Mix, Jess Glynne, X Factor winner Ben Haenow and his fellow finalist Fleur East.

They joined Years & Years, John Newman, Sigma and Hozier on stage.

Storm Clodagh


Greater Manchester is cleaning up after being battered by Storm Clodagh earlier this week.

Gale force winds of up to 80mph were recorded in the city. Roofs were ripped off and trees were torn down as the storm struck.

I wrote this story for the local news section on Key103’s website and edited the vox pops of local residents in Denton. They told Key103 of their lucky escape as a roof was ripped off a row of shops in Denton.

Snoopers Charter: UK’s web browsing history can now be stored for a year

The internet history of every British citizen will be stored for a year by service providers under new surveillance laws.

This sparked controversy across the UK, some people welcomed the idea, others thought it was an invasion of their privacy.

I wrote an article on this story and spoke to the people of Manchester to get their thoughts on the new plans. This was published in the local news section of the Key103 website.
