The countdown to Christmas began at the intu Trafford Centre on Thursday October 29 as 80s pop star Peter Andre switched on the Christmas lights.
The Mysterious Girl singer wowed a crowd of thousands as he performed some of his new music and ultimate classics before flicking the switch…..but an hour later than planned!
Bad weather delayed Mr Andre from flying by helicopter from London to Manchester, forcing fans to wait for him to perform his five-song set.
After waiting backstage for hours and despite being told an interview was not possible, I still managed to get a quick one-to-one with him as he left the venue.
I produced this radio package on the story
