Manchester protests against “anti-homeless” spikes

Campaigners in Manchester protested for the removal of metal studs outside Selfridges after labeling it ‘anti-homeless.’

Academic Cathy Urquhart launched a petition which received over 10,000 signatures.

Selfridges denied any intentions to keep the homeless away and said the spikes were built to reduce litter and smoking outside the store.
